About FishBark
FishBark is a social networking and inventorying utility designed to facilitate relationships between collectors across the street and across the globe. The tool allows for inventorying, displaying, and trading with fellow aficionados...of anything.
The inventory component of FishBark makes for easy uploading, categorizing, storing and sorting of all “your stuff”. Whether you collect shoes, dolls, jeans, spoons, cars, or anything else, FishBark is for you.
Users can add infinite items to their inventory. These items can include pictures, descriptions, tags, and meta data. A user can then digitally sort these items into sets. The beauty of FishBark is that it is almost exclusively user generated and user designated content. Therefore collectors choose how to describe and sort the things they know about. Users can also start and join Groups. Groups are a great way for users to find collectors with similar interests to their own. If you happen to be the type of collector that doesn't want to show off what they have, there is a privacy option as well.
Another element of the inventory component is the ability to display one’s collections to the public. This allows other FishBark users to admire your stuff, offer to buy your extras, or sell you the missing piece to your collection. The Swaps tool was specifically designed to allow users to propose offers and counter offers to each other.
